MAN UTD 3 BAYERN MUNICH 2, AGGREGATE 4-4

hang saja yang betul, Team hang saja yang bagus Sir Alex. Apa - apa pun aku happy Man Utd tersingkir.
ALEX FERGUSON gambled on playing crocked Wayne Rooney - and lost as Arjen Robben sank Manchester United.

Fergie's men raced into a 3-0 lead on the night but Bayern, led by Robben, hit back to win on away goals.

Shock starter Roo - who hurt his right ankle in last week's 2-1 first-leg defeat - was clearly struggling to run properly after tweaking the injury on 21 minutes.

Yet boss Fergie kept him on until the 55th minute in his pursuit of Champions League glory, admitting at half-time: "We're going to give it a go."

Now fans are praying that the Scot's risk-taking has not jeopardised the World Cup hopes of Fabio Capello's England.

Fergie blamed this defeat on the red card shown to United defender Rafael.

He raged: "They got him sent off - everyone ran towards the referee. Typical Germans. There is no doubt it was a key moment. It was never a sending-off.

"There's no way they would have won if we'd had 11 men."

Darron Gibson's drive and Nani's classy double put United 4-2 up on aggregate.

But Ivica Olic pulled one back before the break, Rafael saw red on 50 minutes, then ex-Chelsea winger Robben volleyed the clincher with 16 minutes to go.

Fergie said: "It was a tremendous hit by Robben.

"But I don't think the best team won over the two legs."

Rooney was on the end of some rough treatment from Bayern's defenders.

Fergie said: "We expected them to target Wayne's injury but it is up to the ref to stop that.

"He had a couple of challenges and got a burst blood vessel.

"We took a risk. Now we will have to look at the situation again.

"I do not think the problem is serious but we will give him more treatment."
